![]() ![]() Every character from the five antagonists to the pervy old man Octa have great voice work and I was always looking forward to what would come out of their mouths next. You'd probably expect the voice acting to be awful but the entire main cast was excellent. It's made clear quite early that Zero is not a hero in this story, she's killing her sisters because she wants their power, so with the help of her dragon Mikhael she decides to hunt them down one by one and brutally murder them.Īs you may have guessed from my summary this game isn't very serious, it's filled with sex jokes, fourth wall breaks and vulgar language, it may not be the most nuanced humour but it really works, the delivery of certain lines had me bursting out laughing on multiple occasions. We follow our Protagonist Zero as she is on a mission to kill her five magical sisters Known as Five, Four, Three, Two and One. I know how ridiculous that sounds but it's the best way I can think to describe the plot. If I had to sum up Drakengard 3 in one sentence it'd be “Kill Bill meets Madoka Magica”. (The game did drop to 30-40fps at times but it was rare and didn't bother me too much) However at (mostly) 60fps I found the game very enjoyable despite the clunky design and repetitive levels. #Drakengard 3 voice cast ps3Personally I wouldn't have finished the game on a PS3 with these technical issues, but that's just my personal opinion so please keep that in mind. #Drakengard 3 voice cast modI played the game on an emulator with a 60fps mod and it was a much more enjoyable experience. I think it's important to talk about the elephant in the room here and that is Drakengard 3 runs abysmally on actual hardware, on the Ps3 the game usually runs around 20-30fps (it's capped at 30) and can drop down into the single digits during busy segments of the game. I'd heard the Drakengard games were janky, but had a great plot and interesting world, so with 3 being a prequel it seemed the most accessible, so after wrapping up Yoko Taro's other games I decided to give it a shot. And I'd watched Clemps videos on Drakengard years ago but I didn't remember 90% of what I'd seen. I knew very little about Drakengard before playing this game, I'd played Yoko Taro's other game series that starts with N, (thanks to auto mod removing my post I can't say it's name). ![]()
